There is an ever increasing availability of information on Cosmetic Surgery, through the print and electronic media, the Internet, individual doctors and their associations and groups. Sometimes pieces of information are contradictory, so there is, I believe, still a need for a general overview on Cosmetic Surgery and it’s most frequently performed operations.

My experience with the Cosmetic Surgery industry spans 19 years, and I have been a patient for 16 of these years. I have attended, studied and researched lectures, conferences and workshops on Cosmetic Surgery throughout Europe and the USA. Therefore, much of the information contained in this site has been with the assistance of some of the world’s most influential cosmetic and plastic surgeons.

Australia’s most popular surgeons working in Cosmetic Surgery have also given me a great deal of their thoroughly time and knowledge, explaining their techniques so that I can set out this site in ‘easy speak’. Featured also in this site are ‘all Australian’ patients with their own reasons for having cosmetic surgery and the results they experienced.

This site is not intended to be used as medical advice and should not be used to assess the suitability of any patient for any surgical or non surgical procedure. It is, I believe, a fair and balanced overview of procedures available, how they are best performed, and the expected results.

New Procedures

The Top five new cosmetic surgery procedures for facial rejuvenation have been announced by The Cosmetic Surgery Report. Pamela Noon, who is the International Coordinator for the publication, attended the recent American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery conference in Florida – along with several of the Australian doctors and says the information received there helped her establish this list of procedures, these are:

Feather lifting –
A new technique for lifting the brows & lower half of the face using specially designed threads, without the need for invasive surgery. This procedure can be performed in doctors rooms, taking approximately 1 hr, there is minimal swelling or bruising and the patient can return to normal activity the next day.

Space Lifting –
An internal face lift, again without the need for open surgery or prolonged recovery. Using facial implants or body tissue transplants this is another ‘quick fix’ procedure which supports sagging jowls and facial folds with out any down time or major surgery.

Neck Notching –
To repair the neck adjusting the neck muscle (called the platysma) which cause neck bands and creases. This will become a popular alternative to the traditional neck lift.

Eye Bright –
A new approach to eliminate bags and dark circles under the eye by altering the distance between the eye lid and cheek bone. This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure which has a 3 day recovery.

Lip Flip –
Some new advancements on this popular procedure which increase both the lip space and volume by exposing a section of the mouth from the inside. This is now available by invisi – cision the latest scar free technique.

All of the top 5 take no longer than an hour to perform, the patient returns home the same day & are part of the ever increasing range of ‘Lunch Time Lifts’.

Pamela Noon will hold a series of one on one consultation on these and other cosmetic surgery procedures in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne.
